Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Abbey’s Beauty Room, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Client Information & Data Protection

To ensure treatments are carried out safely and professionally, I am required to collect certain personal information, including:

  • Allergies and relevant medical conditions

  • Contact details (email and phone number)

This information is collected for:

  • Emergency contact purposes

  • Managing appointments, cancellations, or rescheduling

  • Sending appointment reminders

  • Sending newsletters and updates (with consent)

  • Requesting deposit payments to secure bookings

Marketing Consent

Marketing or promotional emails and text messages will only be sent if you have given consent on your consultation form.

Storage of Information
  • Consultation forms are stored in an alphabetised folder within my beauty room

  • Only I have full access to this information

  • Client details are retained while you attend the salon regularly (minimum of two visits per year)

  • Information is updated whenever new details are provided

If a client has not attended the salon for over 12 months, their information will be securely destroyed.

Appointment Policies
Deposits
  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required for all appointments

  • Your appointment is not secured until the deposit has been received

  • Deposits protect my small business against late cancellations and no-shows

  • Are non-refundable within the cancellation period

  • May be refunded or transferred if cancelled outside the policy window

  • Are transferable with more than 48 hours’ notice

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Please contact me by email, text, or phone if you need to cancel.

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice: deposit refundable or transferable

  • Cancellations within 48 hours: deposit will be lost

  • Repeated cancellations may result in full payment being required at booking

Lateness

Please contact me as soon as possible if you think you may be late.

  • Some treatments can be adjusted; others cannot

  • If a treatment cannot be completed due to lateness, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit lost

  • Extreme or genuine circumstances will, of course, be considered

No-Shows

Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in:

  • Loss of your deposit

  • A charge of 50% of the treatment cost

Repeated no-shows will require full payment upfront for future bookings.

Complaints & Corrections Policy

Your satisfaction is extremely important to me, and I always aim to deliver the highest standard of service.

  • Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of your appointment

  • Genuine faults will be corrected free of charge within this time

After 48 hours, any repairs or corrections will be chargeable due to additional time and product required.

Nails
  • Issues with regular polish are outside my control once you leave the salon due to normal wear and tear

  • Gel polish issues must be reported within 48 hours to qualify for a complimentary fix

Patch Testing

Patch tests are required for all tinting and lifting treatments.

  • Must be completed at least 48 hours before your appointment

  • Must be renewed every 6–12 months

You may choose to sign a patch test waiver; however, by doing so you accept full responsibility for any adverse reactions following the treatment.

Agreement

By booking an appointment with Abbey’s Beauty Room, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
